Whats on the ballot for climate change Annenberg Media UK announces multi-billion-pound investment in emerging tech expected to create thousands of jobs: 'The time is now' For those of you who recognize the devastation the Anthropocene Polycrisis ( , , , , , , etc.) is currently causing & will continue to cause: what do you do to keep it together It seems to me that we're not really meant to be "okay" under conditions like this, so I guess "keeping it together" is relative. But I also have to keep functioning on a daily basis. I have to keep living as if I'll have a future, even if I almost certainly won't, & I don't really know how to do that. I'm paralyzed by indecision & isolation. I can't truly believe in the idea of building community when hardly anyone seems trustworthy. Every effort I make to try to calm my nervous system, even just for a while, makes me feel like I'm burying my head in the sand & sleepwalking into death. I just try to drown out the feeling of impending doom with escapist behavior while hating myself for doing it. I've tried telling myself all the usual platitudes: "carrying the weight of the world isn't realistic or healthy" "no one is guaranteed tomorrow, just live as best as you can" " ruminating & worrying over what you can't really change doesn't help you & only makes things worse". Nothing really helps. I feel like I'm only really living to placate my loved ones, not out of any genuine desire to continue to exist. Is this what everyone else feels too What do you do to feel like life is still worth living The State of Greenhouse Gases in the Atmosphere Based on Global Observations through 2023 ,
