Climate change is increasing both the geographical range & seasonal abundance of ticks.

If you enjoy parklands you will encounter ticks and the Borrelia bacteria (Lyme disease) they now often carry. Best way to lower the odds of transferring Borrelia is by removing the tick hours after it attaches.

We have a LOT of ticks here and I've tried many tools. This Lifesystems one is the first perfect one: cheap & reliable.

If this weather keeps up for the rest of the month, it could break all generation records for the last three and a half years.

The previous highest month was last May with 697kwh of energy generated. An avg of 22.48kwh per day for the entire month.

So far this month, the avg is 23.03kwh per day.

We 'could' break the 700kwh range... and the avg is still rising every single day.

It's a similar story with the export... I dont have all of the exact figures any more because the shitty company sold the software side oft he business before going bankrupt and they've enshitified the access to the data by deciding to demand a subscription fee. Luckily, we saw it coming and some one else had created an app to get access to your data... But I only installed it in Feb, so I only have data from Feb onwards and no access to historical data any more.

From memory, the highest export we ever recorded was around 260kwh which earned about 39 in a month (also May).

We 'could' break the 300kwh barrier too this month. But because they now charge us more for electric import but less for export... 300kwh export would only earn 36. They also charge us more for the daily standing charges for gas & electric, so this month we'll be paying 30 before we ever import a single unit of energy of either.

This is actually a post about climate change and the damage it's doing to our world... and the fact that eliminating all of the billionaires would be a good start in fixing it.

Official EuroMOMO data independently confirms 10,650 excess deaths for that same week, a figure expected to be revised upward as more data comes in.

A year earlier, the 2025 heatwave was associated with "only" 16,500 excess deaths. This isn't noise, it's trend. Europe is the fastest-warming continent on Earth, and most of its housing, workplaces, and schools were never designed for these temperatures.
