"Reeves backs third runway for Heathrow"

Someone please explain to me how it makes sense that Reeve's "growth at any cost" means that catastrophic climate change that's going to kill everyone is a price worth paying for economic growth, while joining the EU Customs Union would be going too far

"I can confirm today that this government supports proposals for a third runway at ,"

Climate change isnt sexist
but the way we talk about it is

"Yet, this can lead to a similarly misleading perception as portraying women solely as the victims of the climate crisis. Because both narratives women as victims and women as those who care feed into the same deeply ingrained stereotypes. Women care for their families, their homes, their friends and, of course, the planet. Environmental care is now the responsibility of those who suffer most from it and who often find themselves in positions of powerlessness. When women are portrayed as either heroines or victims, the underlying power structures and inequalities that brought sexism into the climate crisis in the first place become invisible."

Fairly sure trains are going to be delayed or canceled.

Dangerous, unprecedented crackdown on climate change protestors to be challenged in the high court today..

Upon seeing this, millions of people, in the midst of enjoying their fried chicken/burger/steak, immediately switched to one of several "AI" powered chat apps they've started using, to ask it what this means, and which big corporation or politician they should point their fingers at or which product they should (claim to) boycott to do their part in "solving" this problem.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a statement for all Hawaiian Islands warning of a potent winter storm that could bring "significant" weather impacts to the islands.

STUDY: Hot, dry conditions, a lack of rain and a longer fire-risk season are all more likely in todays hotter climate A triple whammy of climate impacts boosted the risk of the ferocious fires that recently ravaged Los Angeles.More likely, and worse. Thats what does.

I have been perplexed about this for a few years... Used to be 20cm was the threshold. I guess as kicks in and we get less snow, our thresholds for warnings and special weather statements will become lower and lower...

This has radically informed my climate activism & storytelling: no one person(or political party) can stop climate progress. They can take away tax credits & jail protesters, but they can't stop millions from taking actions every day.
