As the UK hits 35C it is hitting 55C in India, just a few Centigrade from causing instant death.

This is the most heavily populated country on the planet with 1.47 billion people.

More than all of North America and Europe combined.

Imagine if they all have to leave.

Update: the actual max temperature in many parts of India was 46C, so the 55C mentioned here must be "feels like" temperature.

I finally decided to wear mostly white during the day in summer and bought a bunch of reasonably priced white tshirts a year back. I was happy only to soon realize they are a bit see through when watching from a distance. And I mean you can see everything, all my body hair, rolls of fat, nips.

But I paid money, so I'm going to wear them, fuck it.

Over the past three decades, India has experienced more than 400 extreme weather events. Its power sector, spanning thermal plants, solar parks, wind installations, and transmission infrastructure, faces escalating physical risk across every layer of the value chain. Yet most existing climate risk tools stop at hazard identification, offering qualitative ratings rather than quantified operational or financial impact
